artist statement & favorite artist

I enjoy making art pieces. I do them based on how I'm feeling. I don't like to make sketches first because they never come out the same way, I like them to come right off of the top of my head. Art is how I express myself. I enjoy painting and drawing but, with clay you can make a lot of features and make the object 3d rather than on paper. My favorite artist is Johannes Vermeer. I enjoy his art work because they have meaning to each piece and I think he expressed himself. He was a middle class life Dutch man and created a lot of painting. My favorite is Girl with a Pearl Earring 

slab house

I really took a lot of time making my slab house house. and I'm actually upset that it exploded. 😒😑 like it makes me really mad because I made it so perfect and when I moved it dropped and broke all over the floor. so I have a picture of it all broken. 

coil pot

I really like my coil pot. I took a lot of time doing it to be so perfect. I don't really want to do a pot like everyone else so I made it smooth out and flat. I did a beach theme of it with bright colors because on the beach you see bright colors. 

scary monster

this is my scary monster. it's a beat up pumpkin. I didn't know what I was going to do in the first place tbh I just started to make a pumpkin and it's just happened to come out like this. I like the way it came out in all but my favorite part was the trunk.
