ocean view aka slab box

so I was suppose to do a slab box but I didn't want to do it so I painted this picture in class and out of class with water color. what inspired me to do this piece was I wanted a open and calming mind frame. what came to my head was the ocean and the beautiful sun set. 

coil pot

this is my coil pot. it originally wasn't suppose to be a flower put but it ended out being one. I got tired of doing a pot that went out and then came in so I just squished the top of the pot and started painting a flower on it. when I squished the top of the pot I started to make the flower painting like 3 dimensional to catch a persons eye when you look at it. I am proud of this piece because it has went a long way and turned out to look nice. 

mold making

this is my mold making. I really didn't know what I wanted to do so I made a glass of water that said got thirst on it. i just wanted to make a glass of water but I felt like it wa plain so I added some words to it. Mrs. Rojas suggested that I used stamps to make it perfect and it worked out good. the only dislike I have for this project is that the words started coming off and I really don't know why. 

slip

This is the slip owl that I had remade. I had to redue it because my last owl wasn't perfect so I had to recycle it. For the slip projects I choose to do birds because I didn't want to do any Christmas theme. I didn't like any of the other options, but the birds.

For my casting mild project I made a parrot. I didn't really know what I wanted to do so I randomly picked one. I had made an owl at first, but it didn't look right so I had to recycle it. this project is incomplete because I was unable to fire it in the kilm and because it was not painted. Although, I did sand paper it down. 

artist statement

I love making art, point blank. it relieves stress for me an let's me take out my anger or whatever I'm feeling at the moment. With art you can never be wrong. This is the only thing you can be wrong with. People make diffrent artwork based on how there feeling or it even may be for a certain theme or tbh anything. 

my unique box

this is my unique box. I made it for my god mother. I didn't know what to make & I have a lot of stuff that I made in my room. I wanted to do something diffrent cause I usually do the same stuff. 

tree & mountains

I made this tree & mountain just because tbh. I wa a little inspired by my house plack that I was made. & I've honestly wanted to make a tree with te leaves disconnected but, never thought I would be doing it with clay. I felt like it was lonely so I made mountains cause I like the whole ideal of mountains. 

sun flower

this is my sunflower. it didn't come out the way I thought it would but, I still like it and enjoy it. I made this when I wa stresse out I keep things of my mind. 

roses

I made 2 roses. one is a small one and the other one is big. they both broke but, I really enjoyed making them because it took a lot of time & dedication. 

lotus flower

I made this lotus flower on a lilly pad. I think it's one of my best pieces that I have made. it took me forever to make tho but, I really like it.
